Chelsea look as if they are still hunting around for a big first team signing to cap off their summer transfer window.
It seems as if they are not fully satisfied with the attacking options going into next season, even after unveiling new addition Pedro Neto to the Stamford Bridge crowd.
Their desire to keep the sale of Conor Gallagher alive has seen them look at the potential return of Joao Felix, with work still being done between both sides on that deal.
However, they are reportedly assessing their options a little closer to home too.
One player who has been somewhere on their shortlist in the past is Jadon Sancho, who is unsettled at the moment at Manchester United.
According to the update, the Blues are weighing up making a move to sign the England international, potentially on loan with an option or obligation to buy.
Bringing in a new natural winger could suggest there is some doubt over whether one of their current players will remain at the club by the time August is done.
Noni Madueke impressed over pre-season under Enzo Maresca, however his future is by no means secure at Chelsea.
Eddie Howe is reportedly a big fan of Madueke, and his Newcastle side have been linked with bringing him in.
Whether Sancho is the best option to replace him remains to be seen, with a deal likely not to come cheap after his original big-money move to Old Trafford.
His quality on his day is undoubted, with his peers noticing that more than anyone. He was previously described by Neymar as ‘special’.
However, supporters would be hard pressed to say they would prefer Sancho in the squad over Madueke, with Neto, Mykhailo Mudryk and Raheem Sterling all fighting for minutes too as natural wingers.
A striker is likely higher on the agenda for Chelsea fans, with Victor Osimhen remaining high on their shortlist
