Mason Burstow has completed a permanent transfer to Championship side Hull City from CHELSEA this transfer window, as the Blues continue to let a number of their talented players leave the club.
The Blues posted on the club website: ‘Mason, 21, joined Chelsea from Charlton Athletic in January 2022 and spent the remainder of that season on loan with the Addicks in League One.‘The 2022/23 campaign saw Mason establish himself in our Under-21s’ side and he struck ten goals in 25 matches in Premier League 2. He also netted in the EFL Trophy for the Blues.
‘Last summer, Mason was included in the senior squad for our tour of the USA. He scored against Borussia Dortmund and earned his first-team debut away at West Ham United in August 2023.
‘Another Premier League outing against Luton Town followed, as did a first start against AFC Wimbledon in the Carabao Cup, before the young striker joined Sunderland on loan for the remainder of the 2023/24 season.
‘Mason made 20 appearances during his time at the Stadium of Light and netted in a 3-1 victory over Stoke City in January.
‘We wish Mason the very best as he begins the next chapter in his football journey and would like to thank him for his efforts throughout his time at the club.’
CHELSEA have been letting a number of talents leave the club this transfer window – there has been a number of statements from the club and it is s shame to many Blues fans to see Burstow leave the club.
But if he wants to make a name for himself in the game then this move needed to happen guys that is for sure.
