Chelsea and Atletico Madrid remain locked in transfer talks.
The Spaniards recently reached an agreement with Chelsea worth £33 million for midfielder Conor Gallagher, and, according to recent reports, are now considering the possibility of one of their players moving the other way.According to leading transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea are discussing a second deal which could see striker Samu Omorodion move to Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea discussing Samu Omorodion deal
Believed to be negotiating a deal worth £43 million (€50 million), Chelsea obviously consider the 20-year-old striker as the type of player capable of providing Nicolas Jackson with competition.
Samu Omorodion has emerged as a transfer target for Chelsea.
Also heavily linked with Napoli’s Victor Osimhen, Chelsea fans will be wondering if Omorodion is an alternative target to the Nigerian or in addition to.
Either way, Omorodion is a striker that has gone relatively under the radar. He spent last season on loan at Alaves where he scored nine goals in 35 league appearances — not a bad return for a player who has yet to be given a chance at Atletico Madrid having signed from Granada last summer.
The 20-year-old, who has been capped seven times for Spain’s under-21s, has four years left on his contract.
