UPDATE: Player agrees seven-year deal to join Chelsea

Goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen is travelling to Atlanta to complete his £20.7million move to Chelsea from Villarreal.

CHELSEA made some big signings last summer that they believed would help the club challenge for a Champions League spot and maybe add some silverware to the cabinet.

One arrival that was made was that of Robert Sanchez – who was no longer wanted at Brighton and was quickly signed up by the Blues as they were desperate to add a new stopper to the side.

He has been a massive part of that Chelsea side this season – but he is not seen as a man that is good enough to play for one of the big Premier League clubs and has really struggled to impress.

And that has led to some constant speculation in the media that Enzo Maresca would like a new stopper to make the move to Stamford Bridge – and if you believe the words of Fabrizio Romano – Jorgensen could make the move to London.

The Italian claimed that terms with the player had been agreed but only a few was needed, but that seems to have not been a problem any longer as The Danish youth international has agreed a seven-year deal at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea have made alot of signings already this summer that will not have impressed Chelsea fans – and although Jorgensen has been decent for Villareal – he is not any better than what the Blues have.

If CHELSEA get the player – he will be welcomed by the fans – but we dont expect the Blues fans to get really excited about his arrival and what he would bring to the side that is for sure.
