Medical completed as Chelsea and Man City agree deal for the signing of a youngster

Manchester City look set to sign one of Chelsea’s young players.

Both City and Chelsea have some of the best youth talent at their disposal in English football.

Pep Guardiola’s men have signed several young players over the past few years — with names like Julian Alvarez, Sergio Gomez, Maximo Perrone and Kayky springing to mind.

Alvarez, who signed for Manchester City as a 22-year-old has gone on to play an important role in their two Premier League title triumphs and their famous treble in his debut campaign.

The World Cup winner’s signing has been like that of Gabriel Jesus; a backup striker who can chip in with crucial goals and assists in multiple positions.

Fabrizio Romano shares what he knows about Man City and Ryan McAidoo

The Sky Blues provide a great environment for young players to thrive in — especially when training with the first-team due to training with a manager of Guardiola’s standing in the game and some of the biggest superstars in world football.

Youngsters would also be attracted by the fact that if they make steady progress, there is a possibility that they could play for the senior team one day.

From City’s perspective, signing young talent from different academies, leagues and countries only improves their talent pool and it seems like the club are ready to add another bright prospect to their ranks.

Chelsea’s Ryan McAidoo is the name, who Fabrizio Romano has reported has completed his medical tests and signed a long-term deal at Manchester City.

Romano also revealed that the Premier League champions are “close to agreeing terms” to sign Southampton’s Harrison Miles.

Ryan McAidoo, 16, is an attacking midfielder by trade who has represented England at Under-17 level.

The Englishman is also capable of playing as a winger, especially on the right flank.

Manchester City have had several youngsters on their books capable of playing in both roles over the years, such as Phil Foden, Cole Palmer, Oscar Bobb and James McAtee.

Ryan McAidoo could potentially view City and their history of developing such players into quality Premier League players as a reason for heading to the Etihad Stadium.
