Chelsea will now pay £60m for their next signing

Chelsea appear to have a new wide man on their list of transfer targets for the summer.

Chelsea are still in the market for a new winger after missing out on Michael Olise, who recently left Crystal Palace for Bayern Munich.

The Blues have been heavily linked with Borussia Dortmund’s Karim Adeyemi.

It has been claimed that Chelsea are fans of Adeyemi ahead of a potential move for him.

However, the 22-year-old does not look to be the only wide attacker who the club are currently interested in.

The Blues, though, could still end up buying a wide man from a Premier League club during this transfer window.

The Stamford Bridge outlet have an interest in Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Pedro Neto.

Neto will not come cheap, though, with the same outlet reporting that he could cost around £60m.

He made 20 appearances in the Premier League last season, scoring two goals and providing nine assists.

Neto is a very versatile attacker, able to play across the whole frontline.

He has had his injury problems, but when the Portugal international is fit and on the pitch, he can be such a dangerous winger.

As per WhoScored, Neto completed 1.9 key passes per game last season, which was the highest average in Wolves’ squad. He also had the same average for dribbles, which was only topped by Matheus Cunha (two).

“He has been absolutely incredible,” Wolves manager Gary O’Neil was quoted as saying by BBC Sport when speaking about Neto last year.

If Chelsea can get him, then they should. Still 24, Neto should develop into an even better attacker as well. He just needs to stay fit.

After all of the injury problems that Chelsea had during the 2023/24 campaign, though, some fans will be worried about Neto’s fitness record.
