Chelsea have agreed to sign £38.7m star boy ahead London rivals

Chelsea seemingly could be about to deal a big blow to West Ham United in the summer transfer window.

West Ham and Chelsea both appointed new managers this summer, with Julen Lopetegui and Enzo Maresca taking over at the London Stadium and Stamford Bridge respectively.

Lopetegui has already made some super exciting signings for the Hammers, with Max Kilman and Luis Guilherme arriving at the London Stadium, as well as Wes Foderingham of course.

The West Ham head coach is still keen to strengthen his attacking department at the London Stadium, and he apparently wants to get the majority of his business done before the bulk of our pre-season games.

Lopetegui certainly seems to have brought the excitement back to the Hammers fans, with the ruthless way in which he’s going about his business in the transfer market this summer.

And the addition of another elite attacker would send the Hammers fanbase into fever pitch.

Unfortunately for us though, one of Lopetegui’s apparent targets could now be Chelsea bound…

According to a report from Record, Chelsea are pushing to sign West Ham target Francisco Conceicao this summer.

The 21-year-old is very highly rated in Portugal, and all over the continent in all fairness.

He proved accusations of nepotism to be utter rubbish under former Porto boss Sergio Conceicao – his father – with some truly superb performances last season.

Conceicao was exceptional for Porto last season as well, with eight goals and eight assists in 43 appearances to his name.

The West Ham target’s release clause rises from £25 million to £38.7 million tomorrow, so that will be a big blow for the Hammers.

And now things have just got worse.

Chelsea’s interest in signing the Portugal international could well be a death knell for the Hammers’ hopes of signing him.

Football Talent Scout describe the Porto star as a winger with ‘exceptional ability’, and they’re not wrong.

Despite the fact that West Ham are well stocked in the right wing department, losing out on Francisco Conceicao to Chelsea would be a hammer blow for us in my opinion.

This transfer saga will be one to keep a very close eye on this summer.
