Celebration at Stamford Bridge as Chelsea complete triple signings

Chelsea have completed the summer signing of England International Lucy Bronze

Over the course of a 17-year senior playing career which began in Sunderland in 2007 has lifted five Champions League trophies – two with Barcelona and three her former club Lyon.

And the full-back has won three WSL titles in 2013, 2014 and 2016 during spells with Liverpool and Man City, but after making the decision to leave Barcelona – she has now decided to make the move to Chelsea.

A serial winner, Bronze has put pen to paper on a two-year contract with the club and brings a wealth of experience having enjoyed plenty of success on the domestic, European and international stage.

On returning to England with CHELSEA, Bronze said: ‘To know I’m a Chelsea player still feels a little bit surreal. It’s obviously a club I know so much about and have done for such a long time. I’m really excited to be back in England. My family are so excited as well to get to more of my games.

‘I’m excited to be in London, to see what the capital holds and to be at a club that is renowned for winning so many trophies.’

General manager Paul Green commented: ‘Lucy will bring leadership to the group. She is a serial winner and a versatile defender. She has lots of experience and a winning mentality which we feel will fit well into the squad.’

This is a massive signing for the CHELSEA women – Bronze has been one of the best players in the world for quite a few years now and even though she may not be in her prime – she is still a quality signing.

This is a massive signing for Chelsea and many fans will be hoping that world class players get signed for the mens side too

Chelsea is pleased to confirm the arrival of Oriane Jean-Francois, with the French midfielder joining from Paris Saint-Germain.

The young defensive midfielder, who has been with PSG since July 2022, started in 22 of the 24 games in the French top-flight, the Division 1 Féminine.

But Chelsea made the decision to bring the midfielder to the club and she has just penned a three-year deal, with the option for a further year, which will see her play the next chapter of her career.

Chelsea posted on the club website: ‘Our newest addition signed her first professional contract with Paris FC where she made her first-team debut just before her 18th birthday. In the summer of 2022, Jean-Francois moved to PSG where she has spent the last two seasons.

‘During her time with the Parisians, the midfielder was a Coupe de France winner but sadly, she suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury during UEFA Women’s Champions League qualifying in October 2023.

‘On the international stage, Jean-Francois was part of the France squad who claimed the Under-19 European Championship in 2019. Soon after, she went on to make her senior debut for Les Bleues in October 2020.

‘Everyone at CHELSEA is delighted to welcome Oriane to the club, and we wish her every success for the forthcoming years in blue!’

Jean-Francois said: ‘It is a good moment for my career and the player I want to be. I’m very happy to sign here and I’m excited to start my journey.’

CHELSEA General manager Paul Green added: ‘Oriane is a young, athletic defensive midfielder with good experience for her age. She has shown a great attitude and we are looking forward to seeing how she takes the next steps in her career whilst at the club.’

Chelsea have reached a full agreement to sign Aaron Anselmino from Boca Juniors for £17million plus add-ons

Over the past few weeks – CHELSEA have been doing alot of transfer business and  signing some of the games very best and brightest talents as they seek to take the club into a new era.

Anselmino – who joined Boca’s academy aged 12 – signed a new four-year deal in January. The club are said to be well aware of the interest in their youngster and have consequently placed a £25m release clause in his contract, asking for around £17m should this figure not be met

But it seems that Chelsea have agreed to sign the talented defender – and the plan is for the centre-back, 19, to return to Buenos Aires-based Boca Juniors for six months on an initial loan

Anselmino is a very talented young defender that has the ability to be a very classy defender – but again he is a player that the club do not need to spend so much money on right now and a player that could struggle to make an impact on the side.

The CHELSEA board believe that they are signing players that will take the club forward – but that does not mean that talents have to make the move to Stamford Bridge at this stage of their careers.

Anselmino does not need to make the move to Europe right now and does not need to leave his homeland – but we can see why this would be a dream move for the lad and one that he could not turn down.
