Bundesliga striker ready to join Chelsea at Stamford Bridge

Chelsea enjoyed a season of two halves last time around. After struggling for goals in the first portion of the campaign, they looked far better since the turn of the year but sixth place in the Premier League saw Mauricio Pochettino succumb to the pressure of the role.

The former Paris Saint-Germain boss was replaced by Enzo Maresca in June, with yet another new manager arriving in West London with the objective of stamping his authority on a squad of young and talented players.

The Blues want to sign a forward this summer and are wrapping up a transfer for Barcelona’s Marc Guiu, whose arrival may complement that of Bayern Munich’s Mathys Tel,

GMS has reported that the Frenchman’s name has been discussed internally at Stamford Bridge after Chelsea failed to sign any of their primary attacking targets, which included Benjamin Sesko and Victor Osimhen.

Tel is one of the most promising youngsters in the Bayern Munich squad but has fallen behind the lethal Harry Kane in the pecking order. Though he scored seven goals in the Bundesliga last season, he started in only six out of his 30 appearances, as per GMS.

Chelsea are optimistic about offering him a route to prominence as a starring name alongside Cole Palmer and Nicolas Jackson, especially as their transfer strategy is expected to revolve around making younger signings.

Tel has been with Bayern for a number of years now and it is only a matter of time before he wins a regular berth at the Allianz Arena as Kane is already on the wrong side of his 30s.

Therefore, it is difficult to foresee the Bundesliga giants getting ready to easily part with the 19-year-old unless Chelsea can offer them an irresistible financial package as part of the deal.
