Good news as Chelsea ready to announce £55m signing of a world-class player

Chelsea have started the transfer window hot this summer, with the intention clearly being to not scrap around late for signings this time around.

The club have already officially announced the addition of Tosin Aderabioyo ahead of next season, after it emerged that he would be available on a free transfer.

It emerged that he was keen to work under Enzo Maresca, with the Italian set to be backed in a big way this summer to give him the best possible platform to succeed.

Of all the big money signings that are set to be made, it cannot be forgotten that they will likely be looking to boost their prospects for the future too.

One of the key elements of the Todd Boehly era has been their desire to bring in some of the top young prospects in world football.

Chelsea close to completing Estevao signing

One player who has been frequently mentioned as a target for this summer is Estevao Willian from Palmeiras.

Despite the fact he is set to cost far more than any young player they have signed before, journalist Eduardo Burgos has claimed that the deal is in it’s final stages before it is completedf.

He said: “Chelsea and Palmeiras are closing the final stages for the transfer of Estevão. The final amount will be 45M plus another 20 in variables based on games played with the Blues. The signing was delayed, but it is ‘practically done.’ Only minor details remain.”

Kendry Paez swaps shirts with Lionel Messi

The Blues have already added Kendry Paez to their ranks since the new owners took over, with him already looking an extremely promising player at first team level.

He has regularly been starring as a starter for the senior Ecuador side alongside Moises Caicedo, and came up against Lionel Messi and Argentina earlier this week.

Despite defeat, he was the man selected to swap shirts with the World Cup winner, perhaps suggesting that he is aware of his abilities.
