Good news as Chelsea reach agreement with £20m star player ahead signing

Chelsea are reportedly closing in on making yet another signing in the coming days.

The Blues have looked to act quickly in an attempt to give the best possible backing to new manager Enzo Maresca ahead of his first season of Premier League management.

With every potential addition to come straight into the first team, there is quickly one following with an aim of giving them a platform for success in the future.

One player who has recently cropped up as a target is Aaron Anselmino, who currently plays his football for Boca Juniors.

With the defender being wanted by Chelsea, journalist Uriel Iugt stated that personal terms have been agreed with the player, and negotiations continue between the two clubs.

He said: “Anselmino topic: Chelsea wants to take him now, but Boca Juniors negotiates for him to stay on loan until June 2025.

“Between the club and the player, there is a principle of agreement. Negotiations in progress.”

It has previously been claimed that a fee of around £20m is likely to get the Argentinian side to part ways with one of their brightest talents this summer.

Chelsea have already looked to secure some of the best young talents in world football in the last two transfer windows, and certainly achieved that when it was announced at the weekend they had confirmed a deal for Estevao Willian.

The Brazilian has already been tipped for good things by the likes of Neymar, with an exciting time to come after he joins up with the first team next summer.

Another player he will be alongside in 12 months’ time is Kendry Paez, who is currently making his mark for the senior Ecuador side at the Copa America alongside club-record signing Moises Caicedo.

Bringing in another top prospect, but this time in defence, is no doubt key for the future, and Anselmino looks as if he could fill this void perfectly.
