Fabrizio Romano has stated that Chelsea have agreed terms on a new contract with one of their top young prospects.
Something that has been a key part of Todd Boehly’s era as Chelsea owner is making sure they are well equipped for the future. This has seen them snap up some of the top talents in world football early, in order to beat rival sides to any potential deal.
The highlight addition up to now is easily Kendry Paez, with him establishing himself as a regular for the senior national side at the age of just 17.
There have been fears that this process could see them forget about some of the top prospects they already have at Cobham, and the one who is often mentioned at the top of that list is Tyrique George.

The 18-year-old was amongst the goals last season, and Romano has claimed he has now been rewarded with a new contract at the club.
He said: “Chelsea talent Tyrique George set to sign new contract at the club today, agreement reached. George will be part of CFC project, as 2006 born talent is considered as huge one for the future.”

The fact the club see the Englishman as such a big talent for the future, there is real optimism that he could get his chance to impress at the top level soon.
