Chelsea fans are surprised Boehly paying £100m to sign EPL star striker

Chelsea are in the market to sign a new striker this summer, but the Blues are yet to strike a deal so far.

According to reports, Chelsea are now prepared to break the Premier League transfer record to sign Alexander Isak from Newcastle United.

Isak has been a top striker for the Magpies, and enjoyed a stellar campaign for Newcastle last season.

Reports claim Chelsea have started the move, and the Blues are prepared to pay in excess of the £115 million they spent on Moises Caicedo last summer.

If this deal goes through, it’ll break the transfer record in the Premier League.

Isak has now overcome the injury issues that had stunted his development over the last few years, and Chelsea believe he suits the profile they are looking for.

The 24-year-old has now established a reputation as one of European football’s hottest strikers, but Newcastle aren’t keen on selling him.

Newcastle are fighting hard to retain the services of Isak and star midfielder Bruno Guimaraes who is being coveted by Arsenal and Manchester City.
