Celebrations at Stamford Bridge as Chelsea announce £51m signing

Chelsea have announced the signing of Brazilian forward Estevao Willian from Palmeira

The 17-year-old completed medical checks in Brazil over the weekend and is set to join Chelsea from Palmeiras for an initial £29.5million. But The deal could rise to more than £51m.

The breakdown of those add-ons is £5m relating to appearances for Palmeiras, while a further £15m will be based on his performances once at Chelsea. An additional £3m are considered difficult to achieve and could ultimately keep the total fee below £50m

Chelsea posted on the club website: ‘Chelsea Football Club has agreed a deal to sign teenage forward Estevao Willian from Palmeiras, with the Brazilian to officially join Chelsea next summer.

‘The 17-year-old has already built a strong reputation in South America as one of the most exciting talents around due to his skilful dribbling and electric pace, causing defences plenty of problems in his breakout season in senior football.

Estevao has featured 10 times in the Brazilian Serie A for Palmeiras, contributing two goals and two assists, as well as also finding the net in the Copa Libertadores and Copa do Brasil.

The exciting forward, who joins fellow Brazilians Andrey Santos, Deivid Washington and Angelo Gabriel at Stamford Bridge, has also featured for his nation at youth level.’

there is no doubt that Messinho is a talent for the future and a lad that can go along way in the game – but he is far too young to come to the Premier League with a club like CHELSEA.

He will probably get loaned out for the next few seasons when he officially makes it to London – but if he is given a chance to shine – he could be a great long-term investment for the Blues that is for sure.

But as we said – he will not be ready to make an impact at Chelsea for the next couple of seasons that is for sure.

Dwight Yorke has encouraged Chelsea to make a move to try and sign Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho – who is heavily tipped to leave the Red Devils this transfer window.

Before Sancho made that move to Man United just a few seasons ago – he was rated as one of the best and most creative wingers in the Bundesliga and a man that could add about 20 assists a season.

The move to Man United was meant to be tat next step in his career – but issues off the pitch and the inability to get on with his boss – coupled with some dodgy performances has meant that he did not live upto expectations – and was shipped back to Borussia Dortmund on loan.

But Sancho has scored three goals and registered one assist in all competitions for Dortmund since returning to the club on loan in January and looks every bit like the player he was just a few seasons ago, but he is still expected to pack his bags and leave Man United this summer window.

And Yorke has shared his belief that Sancho may still have a future in Manchester. The former striker has urged United’s winger to seek a move on loan to Stamford Bridge or Barcelona whilst waiting to see if Ten Hag remains in charge at the Red Devils.

“It’s an uncomfortable situation for Jadon Sancho, the manager has won the battle in the end and he’ll look for a way out of Man United now,” he said via Best Payout Online Slots.

“If Sancho played under Erik ten Hag again and had one bad performance, everyone would be pointing their finger at him. Sancho is more than good enough to play for another team in the ‘Big Six’, he’ll want to play for another top team.

“He might go on another year-long loan to a top club, maybe Chelsea or abroad somewhere like Barcelona, then he’ll see if Ten Hag gets sacked, then he can kick-start his Man United career. If I was Sancho, I’d sit tight for a bit and negotiate a loan so I can see the manager’s situation.”

CHELSEA were interested in Sancho while at Dortmund – they were keeping an eye on the winger while he signed for United and they were impressed with his performances while back on loan at Dortmund.

They are interested in the player and will make a move if there is a serious chance of potentially getting a transfer deal done – £40 million is not alot of money considering they were going to pay close to £100M a few transfer windows ago.

CHELSEA WANTS HERNANDEZ –

Chelsea could be in the market for a left-back this summer as Enzo Maresca looks to strengthen his squad ahead of the new season, and Theo Hernandez is on the list of potential signings.

Chelsea are willing to let one of Ben Chilwell or Marc Cucurella go if AC Milan’s Theo Hernandez is brought in this summer as they look to keep on improving that defence.

Chelsea were awful in that back-line last season and it really cost them in their quest to get back into those Champions League spots – and also cost Mauricio Pochettino his job after just one campaign as the Blues coach.

Theo Hernandez is regarded as one of the best attacking left-backs in the game – and is a man that Chelsea have been chasing for quite a few seasons – but have so far been unable to get AC Milan to sell one of the clubs best players.

So, what has Hernandez said about his future? The defender was asked about his plans earlier this week and he remained tight-lipped: “Whether I will stay at Milan or leave, we will see later,” he said. “We’ll see later whether I stay or not. At the moment I’m only focused on the European Championship.”

Reporter Iomie Stanley told icfootballnews: ‘He have seen so many players linked with CHELSEA that are simply not good enough for the club – that are not ready to make any sort of impact and that would struggle in the Premier League, Hernandez is certainly a player that could impress.

He is one of the very best defenders in Europe and a player that could make a real impact at the club – he would certainly be a marquee signing for Maresca.

So if they are able to get a deal done for the man, he would be a quality signing.’
