Chelsea could announce £50m signing as first deal under new manager

It has been claimed that Chelsea have made the decision that Ivan Toney is no longer one of the clubs top transfer targets for the summer.

Chelsea spent some serious money in the Summer transfer window and acquired players that have really made an impact on the side – and they will be looking to improve over the summer window

Chelsea do really have a striker that has the ability to score 20, 30 or even 40 goals a season and there is alot of speculation that the Blues are keen to add another striker to the side in the summer window.

And that has led to some reports in the media that CHELSEA will be interested in a £50 million move to try and sign Ivan Toney from Brentford – who is regarded as one of the best strikers in the Premier League.

However – amid all the speculation and rumours – Simon Phillips has claimed via his Substack on Wednesday that Brentford striker Ivan Toney does remain a transfer target for Chelsea.

He’s described it as ‘tentative interest’ from the Blues in the 28-year-old forward, and Phillips shares that Toney has ‘fallen down the list’ when it comes to Chelsea’s shortlist of potential striker targets

Toney came back from that ban and failed to get back to his very best football – and that is why he is probably down the shopping list for Chelsea – but that doesnt hide the fact he is still a top striker.

He has everything to be a huge success at a club like CHELSEA and if they managed to get a deal done for the man – he would still be a very good signing for the next couple of seasons.
