Celebrations from Stamford Bridge as Chelsea announce new done deal

Teddy Sharman-Lowe has committed his future to Chelsea by signing a new one-year contract, with an option for an additional year.

CHELSEA posted on the club website: ‘The 21-year-old goalkeeper has been with the club since joining from Burton Albion in the summer of 2020 and has been capped by England up to Under-20s level.

‘After a spell back on loan with the Brewers, Sharman-Lowe made a number of appearances for our Under-21s during the 2021/22 campaign and was among the men’s team substitutes for Carabao Cup and FA Cup ties.

‘The keeper spent 2023 on loan, first with Havant & Waterlooville and then at Bromley, but returned in January of this year to help our Under-21s reach the semi-finals in the Premier League 2 and the Premier League Cup. That was combined with senior duties, supporting our men’s goalkeepers and being on the bench in the Premier League for the first time.

‘Congratulations, Teddy!’

Sherman-Lowe has been impressive over the past 12 months and fully deserves that new contract at Chelsea – he has worked very hard to impress and extend his stay with the club.

However – he needs to make a big decision on his future soon as at this stage of his career – he needs to be playing regular football somewhere.

He will be hoping that he gets a chance to shine in that CHELSEA squad in the coming season – but if he does decide to leave if he is not getting the minutes that he wants – we are sure there are a number of clubs that would be interested in the stopper
