Manager to replace Pochettino at Chelsea arrived London to watch EPL game at the weekend

Mauricio Pochettino appears to be edging closer to losing his current position as Chelsea manager, if things don’t change at Stamford Bridge.

The Argentine has failed to live up to expectations since his appointment as the Blues’ boss last summer.

Aside winning just 10 out of 26 league games this season, Chelsea were also denied winning the Carabao Cup by Liverpool two weekends ago, and Pochettino has been blamed for all of these.

There’s enormous pressure on the 52-year-old to perform or be sacked, and many names are already being linked with the potentially-vacant position at Stamford Bridge.

One of those names, Hansi Flick was in England to catch the league game between Brighton and Fulham at Craven Cottage over the weekend, according to Diario Sport.

Hansi Flick has a huge reputation from coaching Germany and Bayern Munich.

Meanwhile, Pochettino has insisted he doesn’t feel any sort of pressure despite Chelsea’s inconsistencies under him this season.

Speaking after Chelsea’s 2-2 draw with Brentford, he said: “No, I am not worried [about my relationship with the fans].

“We need to accept. I told you, I think someone asked me do you feel the love from the fans? No. We need to build our relationship between the coaching staff, the coach and the fans.

“You build relationships by winning games. But at the moment, the expectation, we cannot match the expectation. We are going to ask for love. I don’t ask for nothing. I am going to continue to work and try to change this situation and change, winning games, we now have one week before Newcastle.”
