Chelsea to pay £100m to sign highly in-form star player in summer

Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea fc news and gossip that we think you guys may have missed today –

Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain target Rafael Leao has opened up about his future with Serie A giants AC Milan.

Leao has been one of AC Milan’s most important players over the past four seasons, registering over 40 goals and over 30 assists across over 150 games for the club.

Leao’s current deal is up in the summer of 2024 and while talks are ongoing, a host of Premier League clubs are monitoring his situation in hope that he could become available.

CHELSEA FC have been heavily linked for the last couple of transfer windows and many did expect them to sign Leao in the January window – but other targets were signed and they moved on from the man. But they will be back for the man at the end of the season.

However – it seems that they will have a battle on their hands to get a deal done as Leao has informed the likes of Chelsea fc that he is happy at Milan and has no intention of leaving the club.

Speaking to CorSera, the Portuguese said, “My future is very clear and it’s here at AC Milan. I’m under contract for the next four years, AC Milan helped me in difficult moments and I won’t forget that.

‘I want to win again at Milan, my focus is here.”

There is something there in the potential of Leao – he really is a special talent and could be a great long-term investment – but not for that £100 million that is being talked about.

He wont be coming to the Premier League anytime soon as he has made his feeling very clear – he would like to stay at Milan – but we are sure that Chelsea fc will continue to be linked with the man

Bayern Munich defender Matthijs de Ligt has addressed rumours as he opened up on whether he would leave the club in the summer.

The 24-year-old has struggled for game time at Bayern Munich this season and that has led to alot of speculation in the media suggesting that Bayern may be open to the idea of letting him leave this January window.

Premier League clubs such as Arsenal, Manchester United and CHELSEA FC have all been linked with a move for the Dutch defender over the past few weeks, but were recently knocked back after Thomas Tuchel revealed that the big man would not be leaving in January

However – the Sky Sports Germany have claimed that Bayern may be open to letting De Ligt leave the club at the end of the season – when they will have more of an opportunity to find an immediate replacement for the Dutchman.

But it seems that his mind is already made up as the defender has revealed that he is very happy at Bayer – Speaking to reporters, the Dutch defender said, “I’m not thinking about that now. I’m very happy at Bayern Munich.

‘Of course, I haven’t had an easy season so far. I was injured for a long time. But at the moment I feel good and am fit, I want to play.

It is no secret that Chelsea may be in need of adding a new centre-back to the side as reports suggest that Thiago Silva will be leaving the club – and De Ligt could be an ideal signing.

He is young enough to be handed a massive contract by CHELSEA FC and he is talented enough to be a brilliant addition to the squad – so he is certainly the type of player that the Blues board would love to sign.

So if the reports are true and Bayern would be open to letting the defender leave the club at the end of the season – then we are certain that Chelsea will make an offer for the man.

But there will also be alot of other clubs that could also make moves.

Chelsea Fc have been urged to pursue “devastating” Athletic Bilbao winger Nico Williams.

A lot has happened since Nico made his league debut just over two years ago. Last season, he scored nine goals and provided six assists in 43 games in all competitions.

He also made his senior Spain debut and played in all four of their matches at the World Cup.

His performances has led to alot of speculation in recent months that all the big clubs are very interested in getting a transfer deal done – and amid all the speculation – Former France midfielder Emmanuel Petit, who played for CHELSEA FC as well as Barcelona, rates the 11-cap Spaniard as one of LaLiga’s hottest talents.

Real Madrid and Liverpool have been tipped to launch summer approaches for the 21-year-old.

But Petit, 53, told Football Betting: “He’s got five goals and ten assists already this season. He’s fast, powerful and always runs towards the goal and facing defenders with great skills and dribbling.

“He can play on the right or left and every time I watch Athletic, they always give him the ball because he’s so good at facing two defenders.

“He’d be a very good addition to any team as his skills are devastating. I love players who are always provoking defenders.”

DO CHELSEA NEED WILLIAMS?

The lad is a special talent that is making all the right noises in the game – but he does not need to move yet and should stay at his current club as he is playing the football that he needs to develop.

CHELSEA FC need to work on other areas of the pitch before adding another winger – he really isnt the signing that the club need to make right away.
