Mauricio Pochettino says he speaks with Chelsea owners every day because they are concerned about how the team is playing. Chelsea are struggling in the Premier League, finishing 11th, and they have lost two games in a row, conceding four goals to Liverpool and Wolves.
Mauricio Pochettino got a message from Chelsea bosses after losing to Wolves on Sunday, and he felt they still supported him. People keep talking about whether he’ll keep his job at Stamford Bridge, but one of the owners, Todd Boehly, seems like he wants to give Pochettino a good chance to do well.Chelsea lost to Wolves in front of their home fans. Matheus Cunha scored three goals in a 4-2 win for Wolves. Pochettino has now lost two games in a row, with four goals scored against his team each time. Fans were very angry on Sunday. Pochettino has only been the boss for eight months, but people are saying Boehly and Clearlake Capital should change things because Chelsea still aren’t doing well and don’t seem to have a clear plan. But Pochettino himself isn’t worried. During a press conference on Tuesday afternoon, the 51-year-old said he got a ‘very good text’ from Boehly and said they’re all working together on this.
“Of course, it’s always a tough job. But at the same time it is an exciting project and a project that we know is difficult. In this type of moment, we are living in a situation that is not nice, we can learn. It is a good opportunity to learn,” Pochettino said.
“I told the players today in the meeting that I trust them more than ever. We really trust the players we have. We are going to face this moment and knowing we can move back and win games,” he added.
“I received a very good text after the game against Wolves from the owners. We’re all together in this!” he further added.
Pochettino’s first year at Stamford Bridge hasn’t been good. Chelsea are 11th in the league, 15 points behind the teams in the Champions League spots, and they’ve only won nine out of 23 games.
