Good news from Stamford Bridge as Chelsea receive huge boost ahead important game

Romeo Lavia has returned to Chelsea training, as could be seen from the pictures from Monday's session posted on the club's official website.

The Belgian has barely kicked a ball for the Blues this season as he arrived to the Bridge in August with an ankle injury.

The midfielder has featured only once for Chelsea so far this campaign, playing for slightly over half an hour in a 2-1 victory against Crystal Palace back in December. Lavia then suffered an injury relapse and has been unavailable since.

The 20-year-old joined Chelsea on a £53m plus £5m in addons transfer from Southampton in the summer.

Thiago Silva has also returned to training after suffering a groin injury earlier this month. Marc Cucurella, who underwent ankle surgery in December, has reported back to team training as well. Benoit Badiashile is also back on the grass.
