The first trophy of the season is up for grabs at Wembley tomorrow where Liverpool and Malo Gusto’s Chelsea will battle it for the Carabao Cup.
The Reds will go into the game as the favourites tomorrow. It will be Jurgen Klopp‘s last game in the competition and he would love nothing more than to win it for Liverpool. Gusto, however, has other plans.Chelsea’s Malo Gusto says ‘war is coming’ ahead of Chelsea vs Liverpool
Chelsea signed Malo Gusto from Lyon for £26.3 million in January last year (Sky Sports).
The 20-year-old spent the second half of last season back on loan at Lyon before making his move to Stamford Bridge in the summer.
Gusto has been a regular for Chelsea over the last few months. He has been really good and has picked up six assists as well. The youngster is expected to start for the Blues against Liverpool tomorrow.
Mauricio Pochettino has made it clear that his side are not the favourites to win the Carabao Cup, but we’re sure he would’ve sent a more positive message to his players behind the scenes.
Gusto, for one, seems really determined to go toe-to-toe with Liverpool tomorrow. He has sent what appears to be a warning to the Reds.
“War is coming,” he wrote in his latest Instagram Story.
Chelsea will need to take their chances
Almost everyone expects Liverpool to win the game tomorrow.
The Reds are one of the best sides in the world and are currently on top of the Premier League table. They are picking most teams apart with considerable ease, and the Blues learnt that the hard way not too long ago.
As disappointing a season as they’ve had, Chelsea are capable of winning tomorrow. They did so well against Manchester City recently, and the only reason they didn’t win that game was because they didn’t take their chances.
Against Liverpool tomorrow, Chelsea will have opportunities to score. If they want to win the game and lift the cup, they will have to take them.
