Chelsea close to agree transfer deal to sign a world-class player

This transfer deadline day has been super quiet and for those who love this time of the year, super boring too.

Chelsea have not done any business at all other than loan recalls and loans out, at the time of speaking. But could something still happen as we approach the final hours of deadline day?

There’s a chance that one first team player could still go, but as the hours disappear, it becomes a lot less likely.

Armando Broja to Fulham has been on the cards today, but it’s a situation that has gone up and down and at the moment, I understand that the two clubs are £2m off on agreeing a deal, but also, Fulham have now turned their attentions to other options.

I put all these updates and more, via my own sources today, on my live blog running over at SPTC.

Basically Chelsea want a £5m loan fee but Fulham are only willing to pay £3m, and they are also open to putting an option to buy in the deal. I am also told that talks are still ongoing as of now, 3pm UK time.
