Barcelona star player joining Chelsea for £100m at the end of the season

La Liga giants Barcelona are reportedly ready to let their star midfielder join Chelsea at the end of the season.

Barcelona, currently drowning in debt and struggling to compete in the transfer market, are reportedly considering selling their prized asset and highest earner  Frenkie De Jong in the summer.

It is widely believed that the Blaugrana will need to make a big sale or two this summer to bring in reinforcements. and avoid problems when registering the contracts of existing squad members.

Ronald Araujo is another one who could attract a huge fee, but according to El Nacional Barcelona have no interest in selling the defender, as they view him as a long-term staple of the club and leader.

However, the club have several options in midfield, including the likes of Ilkay Gundogan, Pedri, Gavi, and the emerging Fermin Lopez, making the sale of De Jong more plausible.

The report further states that Chelsea will make a strong push for De Jong in the summer, with the fee expected to be around €100m.
