Chelsea could announce the signing of £60m Serie A striker after talks was successful

Chelsea have reportedly held internal talks over a possible transfer deal for Juventus star Dusan Vlahovic.

Now that the transfer window is open – Mauricio Pochettino has the chance to delve into that transfer kitty once more and try to sign a striker that will bang in goals on a weekly basis.

There is a feeling that CHELSEA are missing that 25-goal a season forward to get back in the hunt for that Premier League title and playing Champions League football on a  yearly basis.

That has led to constant rumours in the media linking the Blues with a move for Vlahovic – who only moved to Juventus two summers ago – but has constantly been linked with a move away as he struggled to score the goals they wanted him too.

Journalist Simon Phillips provided an update on Chelsea and a new striker in the last 48 hours, saying on his Substack, relayed by The Chelsea Chronicle, that the club have held Stamford Bridge talks by discussing internally the possibility of a move for Vlahovic.

The Blues have been watching Vlahovic during the current campaign and still appears to be on their radar ahead of a potential transfer.

Vlahovic, still only 23 years of age, already has plenty of senior experience under his belt for club and country and is currently valued at €60m by Transfermarkt.

However – despite all the speculation in the media linking him with a move to the Premier League, the Serbian doesn’t seem to want to move on from Juve anytime soon and he has even hinted at signing a new deal at the club.

He told Gazzetta: “I’m very happy to be at Juventus.

“I still have two and a half years left on my contract here at Juve.

“We’re in no rush but director Giuntoli and my agent are already talking”.

Vlahovic is a very good forward that would score goals in that Blues side – but there are many CHELSEA fans out there that would prefer the board make a move for Brentford striker Ivan Toney – he is seemingly the forward that fans believe could help bring titles and Champions League football back to the club
