Omari Hutchinson’s entourage are very confident the winger will have talks with Chelsea over extending his contract at the club.
The 20-year-old is currently on loan at Championship side Ipswich Town and has played 30 times already this season for the Tractor Boys and has been directly involved in six goals (scoring three times and assisting three) .His contract at Stamford Bridge is due to expire in 18 months’ time and there have been no talks just yet with the Blues over extending his deal.
His stay at Ipswich comes to its conclusion at the end of the season and his camp, working alongside Chelsea, will assess what is next in terms of next season.
There could also be talks over a new contract, with football.london learning Hutchinson’s representatives are confident negotiations will eventually arise.
Hutchinson has shown this season that he is a very exciting talent that has the ability to reach the very top of the Premier League – but staying at Chelsea may be the wrong career choice.
We have seen in numerous seasons that players that leave Chelsea and seek to further their career away from the club, go on to be very successful and that is what this lad needs to do.
there is far too much quality already at Chelsea, and with the club expected to carry on spending – he will be well down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge.
Ife he carries on impressing this season – then there will be quite a few clubs that are interested and to be honest – he will need to consider whether staying at the Blues is worth the fight.
But it will be interesting to see if he does sign a new contract and if he is actually given a chance to prove himself in that Blues side.
