Good news at Stamford Bridge as Chelsea get triple boost ahead

Christopher Nkunku, Malo Gusto and Lucas Lavia were spotted with their Chelsea teammates today in training as they prepare for the return to Stamford Bridge against Sheffield United.

Gusto was not present in the matchday squad for the defeat at Goodison Park on Sunday due to injury, and that issue was added to by a plethora of new ones at the back at the weekend.

Meanwhile, Nkunku and Lavia are yet to make their Chelsea debuts after joining in the summer. Speaking last week,  Mauricio Pochettino said: “[We’re] still assessing day by day, [will] see tomorrow.

"I don’t believe that he (Nkunku) will be involved but we need to assess day by day. We see also if Malo Gusto can be available...”

Of the three, Gusto looks the likeliest to feature.  With Reece James out for quite a while, it is a real opportunity to show he should be considered as the first-choice option at Stamford Bridge further along the line.
