"I want to play", Chelsea star player tells Pochettino ahead Newcastle game

One returning injured Chelsea player has reportedly told Mauricio Pochettino to put him in the squad to face Newcastle tomorrow.

But it looks like he may just have to wait an extra game or two.

Christopher Nkunku has yet to play competitively for Chelsea since he officially joined in the summer. But he is back in group training and wanting to be back in the squad now.

But of course, the decision will rest with the medics, and it looks like Chelsea aren’t going to take any risks with him just yet….

However, speaking on The SPTC Podcast today, Chelsea insider Simon Phillips says he’s been told Nkunku has been asking to play against Newcastle and is ‘desperate’ to be included again.
