Former Chelsea defender Glen Johnson has warned the Blues to desist from signing Man United’s Jadon Sancho.
Recall that the £73 million attacker is completely out of favor at United, as he does not even train with the senior squad.Sancho has fallen out with manager Erik ten Hag, with his head coach demanding an apology for a social media post from Sancho that aimed criticism in his direction.
“I think it’s a move they should definitely avoid,” Johnson told BetFred.
“He has been at Manchester United for a long time and I can’t recall a time where he’s played three games or more in a row.
“If you’re not doing it at Manchester United, when you have more established and senior players in the dressing room that can kick you into shape, you’re not going to do it at Chelsea either.”
Sancho was born in Camberwell, Greater London to parents from Trinidad and Tobago.
He was raised in Kennington, in South London. He became friends with fellow aspiring footballer Reiss Nelson, who lived nearby, after they played together in youth tournaments.
Growing up, he was a Chelsea fan, and idolised Ronaldinho and Frank Lampard.
