Mauricio Pochettino, Todd Boehly and the CHELSEA board are in agreement that Reece James will not be leaving the club anytime soon.
James has developed into one of the most creative right-backs in the game and a man that can be a game-changer for the Blues when he is on top form and not out with injuries. It was no secret that Real Madrid were interested in a potential deal for the Englishman at the back-end of the summer transfer window, but the Blues were not interested in letting one of their best players leave.
However – the rumours have persisted over the past few months and it has been claimed that the Spaniards could make a cheeky move in the January window for the defender.
But according to new reports, CHELSEA will not be tempted into a sale, with the entire club in agreement that James an important part of Pochettino’s project.
Chelsea believe that the 23-year-old, who came through the club’s academy, still has a lot of potential and can get even better than he is now.
Unless a crazy offer arrives, unless James demands a move away from the club and unless Poch makes the decision to let the defender leave, Madrid will just be chasing ghosts.
A move to the Bernabeu is not as tempting as it once was and it is getting alot easier to turn down the move – especially as more money cant be earned in the Premier League.
So we cannot see the defender departing the club anytime soon and we are sure fans will be happy with the reports that the club have decided to not even entertain offers for James.
