Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez has taken to social media to confirm that he has returned to training ahead of the return of the Premier League this weekend.
The World Cup winner took to Instagram to post that he was back in action ahead of the visit of Arsenal this weekend.Fernandez was one of the many South American Premier League players to have endured the gruelling travels involved with an international break.
While he was away, he proved his talents again, particularly in victory on Tuesday night as they closed in on World Cup qualification.
While Lionel Messi found the net twice again for his country, it was the Chelsea man who picked up the majority of praise from national media for running proceedings.
However, with him being so far away there is always the risk that he will return unfit for the first game back.
As far as Mauricio Pochettino is concerned, he will be looking for all his best players to be fit in order for them to put up a good fight against their title-contending opponents.
Therefore, he will have been joyed to see Fernandez back in training two days before the big London derby.
The 22-year-old took to Instagram to post a story upon his return to the training pitch, simply stating: “We are back.”
Pochettino will just be hoping that Moises Caicedo is fit and ready to feature as well alongside him.
The Ecuadorian enjoyed an equally successful break, picking up a pair of assists including one to future Chelsea star Kendry Paez.
However, he is yet to be seen in training, and it may be a case of seeing what the manager has to say in his press conference this afternoon to see what his chances of playing are.
