Good news as Chelsea ready to sign the best striker in the world

This is good news to Blues fans as ESPN are reporting that Chelsea have “added Napoli striker Victor Osimhen to their list of possible January targets.”

At this point, you’ve got to ask just how many times a player can be added to a shortlist. We’d assume Chelsea have been tracking him since before he even made the step up to Napoli, and we’re sure they’ve been scouting him and monitoring his potential availability ever since it became clear he was one of the world’s top players in that position.

The question is more whether he is gradually moving towards an affordable price for the Blues, and how well our current strikers do up until then.

Even in the best circumstances, it’s hard to see us making a move in January, as Napoli won’t let him go mid-season but you never know with these owners, they’ve shown they’re not afraid of spending, that’s for sure, and they could persuade anyone with an offer big enough.
