Fabrizio Romano has now claimed that Real Madrid star Eduardo Camavinga has just signed a new deal to remain at Real Madrid for a long time.
He took to Twitter to state the deal has been signed despite interest in signing him from Chelsea over the summer transfer window.A midfield rebuild was certainly needed at Stamford Bridge, and Camavinga was one of the names who was linked with the switch to West London.
The Blues got a first-person viewing of the Frenchman last season, with his versatility in particular on show.
He featured at left-back in the tie, doing well up against the likes of Raheem Sterling and Joao Felix who were tasked with creating chances and goals.
Camavinga impressed greatly, and it was clear to see why the Blues were interested in bringing him in.

However, they ended up going another direction. They finally got a deal over the line to bring in Moises Caicedo for a club-record fee.
He is finally beginning to impress as part of a duo with Enzo Fernandez, and of course there is Romeo Lavia still to make his debut after his summer signing.
Even if they were keen on looking at signing Camavinga in the future, it looks as if they are going to be disappointed when it comes to the extortionate release clause included in his new deal.
Romano said: “Eduardo Camavinga has signed new long term deal at Real Madrid — as expected, valid until June 2028. New release clause: €1B.”
Any future transfer plans at Stamford Bridge are likely to revolve around a new striker.
Currently, Ivan Toney and Victor Osimhen are being linked with a January switch to Chelsea.
