Chelsea striker, David Datro Fofana has been handed a two-match ban by Union Berlin after his behaviour during Tuesday’s UEFA Champions League loss to Napoli.
Fofana joined Berlin over the summer, but the Ivorian has struggled to score goals since the move, despite making 11 appearances across all competitions. The 20-year-old was taken off in the 70th minute, as Urs Fischer went in search of a goal against Napoli, only for him to throw a tantrum, snubbing a handshake from the Berlin boss as he went to the bench area.
Fofana has since tendered an apology to his manager and teammates at Berlin, although that hasn’t stopped the club from handing him a punishment.
The striker has been handed a one-week suspension from club duties, as a way of telling him he stepped out of line. The Chelsea man is also set to miss two games during that period.
