Chelsea are among the clubs interested in buying Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi, according to The Sun.
The Blues are expected to go back into the market for a centre-back during the January transfer window if Trevoh Chalobah leaves and re-signing Guehi is something that could be considered. Supporters on X are not particularly keen on bringing Guehi back to the club, as many feel the top priority has to be a striker:Guehi has progressed since leaving Stamford Bridge 2 years ago
After being sold by Chelsea for £18m in the summer of 2021, the 23-year-old has established himself as a regular starter at Palace, whilst also being handed his senior debut for England last year.
Guehi has gone on to make almost 90 appearances for his current club, as well as being capped 7 times by his country.
Chelsea will have competition for Guehi
It is believed that Arsenal and Manchester City are both very interested in the centre-half, while Manchester United could also enter the mix.
Mauricio Pochettino‘s side do have first refusal on Guehi, meaning they will be informed of any bids and will have the opportunity to match offers from other teams. However, if the price gets too high, they may well pull out of the race to sign the player.
