Huge announcement from Stamford Bridge as Chelsea’s £88m transfer decision made

Mauricio Pochettino has reportedly made the decision that Joao Felix will not return to the club on a permanent basis.

After months of speculation and rumours – CHELSEA made the decision to bring Joao Felix to Stamford Bridge in the January window in hope that he could reignite the club after a poor start to the season.

However – despite all the hype – Felix’s loan spell at Chelsea has come to an end after the conclusion of the 2022-23 campaign, with the 23-year-old scoring four goals in 20 Blues appearances.

He did not light up the Premier League like many people had hoped – but the Chelsea board are still keen to make him a permanent signing, with claims that they have now offered £88 million for the man.

However – if you believe the words of Fabrizio Romano – Pochettino has now made the decision that Joao Felix will not return to the club in the summer window: “We have been informed that [Mauricio Pochettino] does not count with Felix for Chelsea.

‘He will return here, we’ll see… we’ve nothing planned”, Atletico president Cerezo has announced, as cited by Fabrizio Romano.

Joao Felix had some decent moments for Chelsea this season – but no way is he worth that £88 million.

CHELSEA do not really need the man and could use that money on signing a proper striker that will bang in the goals on a weekly basis.

So if the reports are true and he will not be making a move back to the club – it is a very good decision from Pochettino – he is not the player that will help bring success back to the club.
