Chelsea told to pay £60m for the signing of a world-class player
Chelsea have been told how much to pay as they are on the hunt for a right wing back, and the name Denzel Dumfries is coming up time and again.
The links were around in the summer, and they’re only coming back stronger now. But Inter Milan want big money for him, and it seems like they may scupper their chances of getting a deal done.
SportWitness suggest the Italian club have set an asking price of €60m for the Dutch international, which surely makes a deal impossible.
Chelsea already have a top tier right back in Reece James. What they’re looking for is a rotation option and a solid backup, knowing that all being well, he will be on the bench for the majority of games.
€60m for that looks just too much – especially when you think about how much we spent on Marc Cucurella on the left hand side in a similar role this summer.
On the other hand with these new owners, we’re not quite sure what is possible and what is not.
