We can report more done deals in the ongoing summer transfer window as Leicester City keeper Jakub Stolarczyk has joined Fleetwood Town on loan until the end of the season.

The highly-rated Poland youth international joined the Foxes aged 16 before rising through the ranks.

The 21-year-old was backup to Danny Ward and Daniel Iverson in City’s opening Premier League match against Brentford.

The arrival of Alex Smithies on a free transfer has, however, pushed him down the pecking order at the King Power.

Having previously appeared in the first-team squad for Europa League and domestic matches, and played for the under-18s and under-23s, last season Stolarczyk made 13 appearances on loan with Dunfermline.

DONE DEAL: Doug Tharme as joined Accrington on loan

Accrington Stanley have signed Blackpool defender Doug Tharme on loan.

The 22-year-old – who has yet to play a senior game for the Championship club – has agreed a season-long deal at the League One side.

Former Wrexham youngster Tharme joined Blackpool from Southport in February and spent the rest of last season back on loan at his former club.

He has also had experience at non-league side Curzon Ashton and Welsh Premier side Connah’s Quay Nomads.

Chelsea close to signing Cesadei

Chelsea are also close to winning the race to sign Inter Milan’s 19-year-old Italian midfielder Cesare Casadei. Chelsea are close to winning the race to sign Internazionale’s highly rated midfielder Cesare Casadei. Nice have also targeted Casadei, but it is understood Chelsea are pushing to complete the signing of the 19-year-old this week. They have had two bids rejected and are expected to be successful with their third offer, which could be as much as £12m.

The pursuit of Casadei is further evidence of Chelsea’s determination to bolster the young talent on their books. This summer they have signed the 18-year-old goalkeeper Gabriel Slonina from Chicago Fire and midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka, also 18, from Aston Villa for £20m. They are interested in the Palmeiras prodigy Endrick, though the Brazilian is being courted by many of Europe’s top clubs.

Chelsea are pushing to sign Casadei in the coming days, and their next offer is for €12 million plus €3 million in add-ons.

This is less than the Nerazzurri’s asking price, but no longer by too much, and the two clubs are now close enough together in terms of the amount for a fee that they should be able to sit down at the negotiating table.

Now, it will remain for the clubs to work out a final agreement on a fee, but the deal could be made as early as Thursday according to recent reports.

Chelsea to offer new bid for Anthony Gordon

Chelsea are set to make an improved offer of £45m for Everton’s England winger Anthony Gordon, after seeing their first bid of £40m for the 21-year-old rejected.

Chelsea are ready to increase their offer for Anthony Gordon as Everton’s stance that the winger is not for sale comes under severe test.

A new bid of £45 million has been prepared for the 21-year-old after an informal opening offer of £40 million was rebuffed by the Goodison Park club. It is likely that such a bid will also be rejected, with the Everton manager, Frank Lampard, and chairman, Bill Kenwright, keen to keep Gordon.

According to reports, Chelsea are preparing a second bid worth £45 million for Everton youngster Anthony Gordon. The Toffees had rejected the Blues’ opening offer for the player.

Now, the Stamford Bridge side are set to match the asking price Everton had seemingly set on their academy prospect.

Gordon has been attracting interest from various Premier League clubs, with Tottenham and Newcastle in the race for the 21-year-old.

Frank Lampard’s side have been reluctant about selling their breakout star of the 2021/22 season. But Chelsea are set to test the Evertonian’s resolve by putting in a new offer on the table.
