Chelsea’s pursuit of Nathan Ake has been to a surprising hault following reports that City won’t be able to allow him leave for EPL rivals having already sold Raheem Sterling.

With Tuchel’s priority of bolistering his backline, Chelsea owner Todd Boehly has perfectly responded to his demand by agreeing a deal of Senegalese centreback Kolidou Koulibaly who’s tipped to be announced as new Chelsea’s player.

Besides Koulibaly, the Germany tactician has always been admiring Juventus ace Matthijs De Ligt who’s favouring a move to Allianz Arena amidst Bayern Munich’s links.

However according to Football London, Chelsea have reignited their interest in signing French and Sevilla’s defender Jules Kounde after receiving a blow in pursuit of their explayer Ake.

Chelsea are viewing Kounde as a perfect target to pair Koulibaly with Thiago Silva and Malang Sarr considered as perfect backup in an attempt to provide a solid partnership in EPL.

Ideally, Kounde is every club’s dream target and therefore Chelsea will be required to speed up their move as Barcelona are as well monitoring player’s situation.

Meanwhile, Mason Mount is expected to start contract talks in the coming week.
