Manchester United target joins Thomas Tuchel at Chelsea
Despite a bit of a classic transfer deadline day rush, Chelsea were able to secure the services of Spanish midfielder, Saul Niguez from Atletico Madrid. However, it is a loan with the West London having an obligation to buy the Spaniard if he performs good enough.Thiscomes as a blow to league rival, Manchester United considering the fact that they have been long term admirers of the Spanish international and they have even asked Atletico Madrid of the Spanish international asking price.
The 26 year old versatile midfielder is the third major signing of the summer by west London club, Chelsea after they acquired the services of Marcus Bertineli as their third choice goalkeeper and Belgian striker, Romelu Lukaku. The club was set to also complete a move for Sevilla star, Jules Kounde but the Spanish club decided to raise their asking price on the deadline day, therefore pricing Chelsea out of a move.
I personally think this is a good move by Chelsea considerjng the fact that Saul Niguez is the youngest between the Kovacic, Ngolo Kante and Jorginho midfield.
