Chelsea board led by Marina Granovskaia are close to signing Sevilla and France defender Jules Kounde, in a deal worth £42m.The 22-year-old has been linked with Chelsea since the opening of the transfer window and will be hoping a deal is reached soon enough.Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel is close to making Jules Kounde his second major signing of the transfer window as Kurt Zouma is set for a switch to West Ham United.
Jules Kounde, has been one of Thomas Tuchel’s primary transfer targets this summer and the Blues are said to have finally agreed a deal with the Spanish side, according to reports.The 22-year-old prolific defender is expected to be a Chelsea player before the end of the transfer window and Chelsea will still have to let go of another central defender before a deal is finalised.
The Blues are still struggling to sell 26-year-old Zouma to West Ham as negotiations reached a breaking point on Wednesday with the deal potentially off.But the London club are still ahead of rivals Manchester United in the race to sign the Spaniard.
