Check Michael Owen’s hear breaking predictions of Arsenal vs Chelsea, Man City, Man United

After the second round of matches, Manchester United will remain top of the league table, Manchester City will move up while Arsenal will remain as they were. That is based on Michael Owen’s Premier League prediction for week 2. Their respective opponents for the weekend are Southampton, Norwich and Chelsea.

Manchester City vs Norwich

Given the quality in the Manchester City squad and the fact that Norwich struggled against Liverpool, it’s no surprise that Owen predicted the Citizens to bounce back from last week’s defeat.

They fell to a shock defeat in their first match after losing 1-0 to a Tottenham side that had no Harry Kane. New signing Jack Grealish started in that match but he couldn’t prevent the defeat as the team lacked a target man.

They head into this match still in search of a striker. Notwithstanding Owen went for a City win as Norwich showed in their first game that they don’t possess the quality and experience that Tottenham has. He predicted a comfortable 5-0 win for Manchester City.

Arsenal vs Chelsea

Like in their first match, Arsenal head into this match with some key players still missing. Aubameyang has returned to training, however, Arteta said in a press conference that Martin Odegaard will not play against Chelsea and they are still without Alexandre Lacazette and Thomas Party who are still in self-isolation after testing positive for coronavirus.

On the contrary, Chelsea won their first match and they have no major injury worries as Thomas Tuchel confirmed that N’Golo Kante and Hakim Ziyech has returned to training. He also confirmed that Romelu Lukaku will play.

Given the contrasting circumstances and form of both teams, it was no surprise that Michael Owen predicted Arsenal to come out of this game empty-handed. He predicted Chelsea to win 2-0.

Southampton vs Manchester United

Manchester United went top of the league table after their big win against Leeds United. They did that without Jadon Sancho who was brought on after the game was won and Raphael Varane who didn’t feature at all. Both players will be available against a Southampton side that lost to Everton after leading 1-0. Therefore, it is likely they will play even better.

United beat the Saints over two legs last season. Based on current form, the former Real Madrid man predicted the Red Devils will be halfway to repeating that same feat this season. He predicted United to win 3-1.
