After completing Chelsea transfer deal, star player takes to social media in emotional message
Rudiger helped Abraham decision, Chelsea and Lyon in transfer talks and Abraham sends message in top Chelsea news…
Tammy Abraham has posted an emotional farewell to Chelsea on social media after his transfer to join Jose Mourinho’s Roma was confirmed
Abraham is a talent that was all set to become the leading striker for Chelsea until Thomas Tuchel came in, and he struggled to make any sort of impact on the German boss, despite netting 12 times last season.
And with the arrival of Romelu Lukaku this transfer window, it meant that the Englishman was not going to get the kind of game time that he would have hoped this season, and a move away from the Bridge was on the cards.
And after weeks of rumours, speculation and doubts, Roma finally agreed a £34 million deal with the Premier League giants that allows Abraham to head to Italian football for the next five-years.
And after completing that move to Roma, Abraham has opened up and sent a message to everyone associated with the club: “It’s time to say goodbye to a club that means so much to me and my family,” Abraham said. “From playing at the academy as a young kid from Peckham to winning the Champions League all those years later.
“I want to say thank you to my teammates, the Academy, all of the staff and of course, the Chelsea fans who have always supported me. Wouldn’t be who I am today without you guys.
“Bring more trophies home boys! Love you all, TA9 out.”
We have said it before and we will say it again, Abraham leaving Chelsea on a permanent basis is a massive decision from the player to make. But he needed to get away as he cannot keep sitting on the bench every week
It will be interesting to see how he takes to Italian football, but this could make his career
French outfit Lyon have reportedly begun negotiating with Chelsea for wantaway Italian defender Emerson Palmieri, according to The Guardian.
Chelsea signed the former Santos star for £17.6million in January 2018, as he was signed by the Blues as a back-up option for Marcos Alonso, who proved many people wrong by becoming one of the best left-backs in the country.
But Emerson is not one of the main contenders for that ;eft-back spit under Thomas Tuchel, and with having Ben Chilwell in the squad too, the Blues have decided that now is the time to let Emerson depart the club
The reports claims The Blues are keen on offloading the 27-year-old this summer given they are already covered at left-back, with both Ben Chilwell and Marcos Alonso set to stay at Stamford Bridge.
And it adds that the west Londoners are hoping to get around £15million for the former Roma ace, with Lyon ready to pay that fee in the next couple of weeks
Talks are at a very early stage of negotiations, so a deal will not be happening in the coming weeks…
Chelsea have spent some serious money this transfer window and selling a number of players to balance that book is a good move to make. Emerson has been a solid player for Chelsea over the past few seasons, but now is the right time to leave
Chelsea no longer need him in the squad, so getting £15 million in the bank is a good bit of business. So when the deal is announces, Chelsea fans will surely wish the defender all the best and thank him for his service to the club
So we will just be waiting to see this deal get announced, and what Emerson has to say about his stay at the Blues
Former Chelsea frontman Tammy Abraham has revealed that Antonio Rudiger helped convince him to move to AS Roma upon completing a £34million transfer to the Italian outfit.
With the arrival of Romelu Lukaku this transfer window, it meant that the Englishman was not going to get the kind of game time that he would have hoped this season, and a move away from the Bridge was on the cards.
That allowed Italian giants Roma to swoop in and take him to Seria A football in a deal worth £34 million, and after completing his transfer move to the Italian giants, Abraham has revealed that Antonio Rudiger helped convince him to move to AS Roma
“They (Antonio Rudiger and Emerson Palmieri) loved everything, especially Toni Rüdiger, he told me he would always play for Roma again”, Abraham told Roma’s website when asked what Emerson and Rudiger told him about the club.
“Hearing it gave me confidence. As I said, I felt good from day one, I just have to do my best this season and help the team as much as possible.”
We never want to see players leave the Premier League, but this is a massive move from Abraham to make as it could work out and he bangs in the goals, or he could struggle to adapt to Italian football and come back to England
It is a massive career choice that many of us are hoping works out, but everyone will keep a close eye on his performances, as it could have probably saves Chelsea millions if they kept him
