Why La Liga defense general move to Chelsea is delayed

Chelsea’s quest to recruit Jules Kounde from Seville Center was delayed because West Ham declined to fulfil the wage demands of Kurt Zouma. After their move of £97.5 million last week to Romelu Lukaku, Chelsea now wants to sign Kounde before the end of the window.

To allow Kounde to arrive, Champions League holders need to reduce their defensive options, and Zouma has drawn interest from West Ham.

But, according to The Sun, West Ham is now considering alternative possibilities for Zouma because it refuses to fulfill France’s international salary requirement of £120,000 a week.

In other places, Tammy Abraham is about to leave Chelsea for £34m after Monday’s doctor with Roma.

Michy Batshuayi, who was lent at Crystal Palace last year, will join Besiktas on another loan arrangement.

Ike Ugbo, who did not attend the club for a senior class, is anticipated to finalize his move to Genk for an initial €3.5m cost.

Offers for Tiemoue Bakayoko, Emerson Palmieri, Danny Drinkwater and Ross Barkley are open at Chelsea as well.
