Chelsea manager, Thomas Tuchel stilli in signing Sevilla defender Jules Kounde this summer according to reports available.
The English side made their first signing of the summer earlier this week following the capture of Inter Milan striker Romelu Lukaku for an estimated fee of approximately £100 million. That would not be the only piece of business to be done at the Stamford bridge staduim this summer though with the blues still very much interested in clinching the signing of French centreback Jules Kounde. Thomas Tuchel has reportedly made Kounde his no 1 priority with the deal for Lukaku now out of the way as he looks to strengthen his defence heading into the new season.
The reigning champions league holders were said to have opened discussions with Sevilla over a move for the 22 year old although talks between the two clubs have stalled after both sides failed to reach an agreement on the player’s valuation.Sevilla are said to want a straight cash deal in the excess of €80 million for their prized asset with Chelsea only ready to offer €68 million for the player who is keen to join Thomas Tuchel’s side this summer.
Well, the London side have not withdrawn their interest in the player and will reportedly reopen talks with the Spanish side as they look to complete their second major signing of the summer.
