PSG and Man City give huge boost to Chelsea to sign Lionel Messi

Hours after Leo Messi and Barcelona confirmed that they had parted ways, various clubs were fronted as the next destination for the Argentine.

Messi who has for the past two decades dedicated his life and talent to the Nou Camp walked out of Barcelona on Thursday evening. According to Barcelona’s president, the deal to extend his contract at the club was not possible due to La Liga rules and his huge salary.
Messi who has scooped 6 Balon Dor’s award and only comes second to Portugal’s talisman Cristiano Ronaldo was a favorite to join PSG or Manchester City.

However, this will not be possible after Pep on Friday confirmed that the club was in no position of signing the Argentine following Jack Grealish’s arrival at the club.

PSG head coach Poccetino has also confirmed that the club will not be looking to sign Messi as this will mean Mbappe will be forced to leave. Mauricio Poccetino further explained that the club was at the moment concentrating on winning their pre seasons matches but will update on the situation later.
With these two favorites considered to be out of the way, Manchester United and Chelsea comes second in line to sign the former Barca man.
