The Thomas Tuchel’s side were not expected to spend big on defensive reinforcement this summer amid plenty of competition at centre-back. The latest report from Fabrizio Romano suggest that the Blues have made the France international their top defensive transfer target this summer.
Joules Koundé is open to the move with discussions between the two outfit expected to go ahead. Chelsea can avoid the discussions by meeting Joules Koundé’s €80million buy-out clause, but it’s likely the English Premier league club will attempt to reduce the amount.
