Thomas Tuchel tutored side, Chelsea are in talks with swap deal option to sign top La Liga star as they continue to push for a first team acquisition this summer.

Chelsea are yet to bring a new player this summer with head coach Thomas Tuchel yet to reach an agreement with any of his summer targets as regards to joining him at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues are looking to strengthen some key areas in their squad with their defence and attack the major areas they are looking to strengthen.

However, the Blues have identified the centre-back they would like to add to their squad and are now in talks with his current employees concerning a move to West London, England.

According to a report released by Goal, Chelsea’s manager Tuchel and his recruitment team has identified French Sevilla star Jules Kounde as the man who could help make them very strong defensively next season.

The report has claimed that Chelsea are also looking at the possibility of adding their own Frenchman Kurt Zouma to the deal that could see the 22-year-old star join them, while Zouma goes the other way via a swap deal.

Kounde is a player who has not been short of admirers this summer. The 22-year-old is said to be a transfer target for Arsenal and Tottenham also, with Chelsea the latest to show interest in him.

The Sevilla star recently featured in France’s Euro 2020 squad and is currently considered by many as one of the continent’s brightest young defenders.

Goal in their report have also claimed that Kounde is willing to join the Blues, but Sevilla would only sell the France international for the right price as they look to raise more funds from this summer business, having already raised some money from the sale of Bryan Gil to Chelsea’s rivals Tottenham.

Last season Kounde was very phenomenal for Sevilla. He started 33 league matches for the Spanish La Liga side last season, and was rock solid at the back, earning him a spot in France’s Euro 2020 squad.

The centre-back was bought from Bordeaux in 2019 and in no time, broke into Sevilla’s first-team set-up as his quality was inevitably seen by his manager.Kounde is considered a modern game defender as he has the skills enough to play as a central defender and as a wide player who can start a counter attack or release his attackers with a pinpoint pass or delivery.
