Chelsea are looking to hijack Manchester city’s deal for Jack Grealish according to reports coming from England.
Grealish looks all set to join Manchester city following an impressive European campaign with England this summer with the Pep Guardiola’s side reported to have been in contact with Aston Villa over a £100 million deal for the versatile midfielder. The 25 year old has doubts over joining Pep Guardiola’s side though with the current Aston Villa captain wary of seeing reduction in his playing time if he crosses over to the Etihad stadium. Chelsea have reportedly been monitoring the progress of the deal and are now reportedly looking to hijack City’s move for the talented midfielder. The blues are yet to make a major signing this summer although money is not the problem at Stamford bridge.
Jack Grealish would offer Chelsea a different dimension than the current crop of midfielders at the club given his versatility to play in numerous roles with the playmaker talents already seeing him linked with a move to each of the premier league’s big six in recent seasons. Hisimportance to the English national team has also increased significantly with the midfielder who only earned a call up last year playing a prominent role as Gareth Southgate’s men rode their way to the final of Euro 2020 where they lost out to Italy on penalties.
