Done Deal: Chelsea Confirm the transfer of a world-class midfielder

Chelsea are highly interested in signing Borussia Dortmund attacker Erling Haaland this summer, with Thomas Tuchel keen to strengthen his offensive department ahead of the upcoming Premier League season.

The Blues have been linked with some big strikers including the likes of Harry Kane of Tottenham Hotspur and Bayern Munich goalscoring machine Robert Lewandowski, but it’s Haaland who has been Tuchel’s priority.Chelsea are said to be preparing an offer of around £134million to prise away the Norwegian from Dortmund.

However, a deal seems unlikely as the Bundesliga sides are reportedly wanting £150million for the 20-year old, meaning Chelsea will have to look for another sum of money to strike a deal.

Meanwhile, the Daily Express are reporting that Chelsea has confirmed the sale of academy product Lewis Bate to Leeds United for a fee of about £1.5million.The midfielder is highly rated by the Blues academy staff and was offered a new lucrative deal but with concerns on whether there would be a route for him to make the senior team, that was declined.

Bate has signed a three-year deal with Leeds and will join up with their Under-23 side for the coming season
