Chelsea board offer £85m to sign 23-year-old forward – Reports from Italy
Chelsea football club are hellbent on improving the current squad available to manager Thomas Tuchel despite lifting the UEFA Champions League trophy last season.
Do remember that the West London club won their second-ever UEFA Champions League trophy at the expense of Manchester City in June but they are not resting on their oars just yet.
It is believed that manager Thomas Tuchel wants to strengthen his attacking options during the off-season and has identified a move for on-loan Juventus winger Federico Chiesa. The 23-year-old Italy International, who joined Serie A giants Juventus on loan from Fiorentina last year has been very impressive since he made the move.
The young winger was an important member of the Juventus squad last season where he made 30 appearances in all competitions and scored eight goals.
Federico Chiesa was also very impressive for the Italy national team as they went on to lift the UEFA Euro 2020 some days ago.
His impressive displays in attack is said to have attracted interest from Chelsea football club and according to reports from SportBible, the Blues have offered a fee believed to be in the region of £85million (€100million) to sign the youngster. The Blues are keen on signing Federico Chiesa as they want to add more wingers to a squad that already possess the likes of Hakim Ziyech, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Madon Mount in that position.
However, it remains to be seen if Juventus will be interested in doing business with Chelsea as they have always viewed Federico Chiesa as an untouchable member of the team.
